i am married since 18 months. i lived for about 11 months at husbands place, later they left me at mothers place when i was 5 moths pregnant and since then are spreading derogatory remarks about my character, also they asked for a house and car which my parent gave but the ownership was not in their name. they used to abuse me physically as well as mentally. i have a child now. can i file for conjugal rights and stay in husbands house as well as maintenance. what other charges can i file with respect to dowry, defamation and domestic violence and mental cruely???

dear client u can file restitution of conjugal rights petition under sec 9 of Hindu marriage act and ask husband to take back u to matrimonial home. u can also file domestic violence case for mental harassment. u can also file dowry harassment complaint with police for physical torture under sec 498-a of Indian penal code. u can also ask maintenance for u and yr child from husband. for any legal help call me on 9422611385

You cannot do both together - i.e. seek for conjugal right as well as maintenance. You need to decide, what you want to do, (i) You want to separate or (ii) want the marriage to continue.
Once you decide this take advise of a local lawyer and initiate appropriate action.
