Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am married in 2007 and went to USA. we have a 2 year old boy now. I want to file a divorce against my husband as he tortured me mentally and sometimes even physically. Even my inlaws and sister-in laws torture me mentally for money. Now my husband dont want to get separated but still want me to adjust for what ever he do and he does. he say that he will take away my boy now or if not might be once he gets 5 years. he uses unparliamentary words, he talks bad about me and my family. he donot respect elders. But he has lot of money. I am living only for my baby. And one important thing is when i was young i married a person whom i loved without saying my parents about this. but my husband knew this soon after marriage, and a police officer said , if he still wants with me forget and be together" like that. But my husband said yes and tortured me because of the same for so many times. He is even blackmailing me that he can take my baby on this issue , and he said he ll proove my character as bad showing this same reason and take away my child if i dont adjust to him and to his family. He also says that he will kill me if i dont compromise. advice me what to do
