Legal Question in Family Law in

I married a woman in the year 1999 from whom i have a girl child. She separated from me in 2005, and we entered into a notarised agreement in the year 2006 to part are ways, the child remained with me. In the year 2008 i remarried a woman, who soon after the marriage proved to be a block headed woman, and started misbehaving with me and my mother on one pretext or other, she also escaped from place thrice while i was on my duty, some how everytime we brought her back, she again left the home on 19.10.09 in bhaiya dooj with all the ornaments and disagreed to return, i gave an application in this regard at the nearest P.S. Then on 02.06.10 i also gave a written information to the DM, lucknow. On 18.07.10 i recd a call from the head of gurdwara, for across the table negotiation, i reached there with my family members, and soon after the meeting started, her parents started abusing me and my parents and also privoked there daughter in question to commit suicide and write our names in the suicide note, accusing us as culprits. A written complaint of this has again been given to the DM, lucknow. Now i have also come to know that my first wife is also interested to make a comeback. I want to seek a legal opinion in this matter. Please suggest me the safest way out because i don't want to fall into a legal trap.

My friend first of all can I know as to who advised you that having a settlement (DIVORCE) by notary is legal? Secondly your second marriage is illegal since you havent taken divorce from your wife through COurt.

You need to be very careful. You may face prosecution in a criminal case.
