I married 3 years ago and i have a small kid. My husband didn't care about me and my child. He always hurt me with bad words and sometimes beated me very harsh, but his parents didn't care about that, their motive is handover my things (jewels) only.He is a government employee . He and his family members always told that you are not fit for my son, he will expect some more better, so i have depressed very much and filed divorce against my husband before 6 months.now he is ready to give divorce but now i don't want to breakup. is that any way to continue my life with him ? or live single with my child without divorce?

1) Since u dont want to break-up, but want to continue to live with ur husband, u hv to file RCR. If he fails to respond then he will hv to pay maintenance for u and ur child with share household.
2) First why 498A and DV cases were not filed and straight filed Divorce.
3) One 498A and DV are filed cannot be withdrawn. Divorce can be withdrawn.
4) Since he is a Government employee, consult ur lawyer who why preferred divorce and can bring pressure on ur estranged husband.
5) Take the help of local women NGOs and ur Attorney, and second opinion by consulting experienced lawyer by explaining all the facts before the Divorce is withdrawn.
