Legal Question in Family Law in India

Married for 16 years with 2 kids. Wife almost every day abuse and beat both the kids. Threaten to commit suicide if stopped. If I'm traveling for work she will call me every night and threaten to leave the house leaving the kids. If the topic of separation is even attempted she threatens to kill the kids and commit suicide. Please guide me.

This seems to be a serious issue. It is advisable to seek intervention of elders of both the families and if the matter is not resolved, legal options may be pursued.
