Legal Question in Family Law in India
I am married for 2 years & the going is not very smooth. However recently, out of the blue, an immense pressure on me has emerged from my in-laws to get a Marriage certificate. The pressure is so much all of a sudden that its triggering doubt in my mind that are they looking at this step for some kind of an advantage if things fall apart between me & my wife.
Kindly share the importance of having or not having a Marriage Certificate in a divorce case in India. We were married publically with all rituals & the other evidences of wedding like Invitation card & photos are available. So in such a case does having/not having a marriage certificate hold any relevance?
