Legal Question in Family Law in India

Am married for 18 years and now my wife wants to live separately with her parents in another city . Since the last 4 months she is staying with her parents . But she has also suddenly started threatening me and my old parents with dire consequences . My parents also dont live with me , but in another city .

She is threatening police case citing atrocities. She is not even staying with me , but is constantly alleging, mental atrocity . Are such allegations tenable ? What could be a course of action from my side, as a line of defense?
