Legal Question in Family Law in India
As a mother do I have the right to make sure my rental property (pagdi) does not go to my daughter in law or her children as they have abandoned me?
The property is a rental property under (pagdi) which has been rented by my late husband and myself for over 50 years and is thus deemed as ownership in Mumbai.
I want to disown my daughter-in-law and her children and do not want them to inherent any of my property or money, as they have abandoned me and now since my son has passed away (died) I do not want to have anything to do with them.
My son and his wife were living apart for over 10 years, following his death I have handed over all of his financial documents as well his poperty to his wife. I want to insure that they can't claim any of my proprty after I die.
Can this be done through a will or do I need sone other legal aid?
For information I'm a Indian Christian age: 82
Is this possible under Indian Law?

you can write a will and get it registered thereby distributing the assets as you will. As for the flat I am not sure wether the tenancy can be willed.
