Legal Question in Family Law in India

my mothr and uncle has a shop in partnership..though my uncle was ready to withdraw his partnership..so my mother gave him all d money according to accounts till date ..and had a sign of him in a paper stating he is resigning.also my mother send a registered post to him offering the shop.but he replied in a registered post that he dont need it.but now he is threatening that there is no legal agreement so he can claim his.positio again.what is a.way out of this
