Legal Question in Family Law in India

I got notices from Wife's lawyer with points of what happened so far in our life and asking to return her dowry items plus cash & given few more points which alerted the facts to her advantage. She wants return her items and give my consent for divorce within one week from the date of receipt of this notice, failing which please note that I have definite instructions to initiate appropriate criminal and matrimonial actions at your costs and consequences.
My question is what reply should i give. Could i send by own or need to engage lawyer? but this notices is came from lawyer not from court.
If i have not responded then what would be the consequences like i might get arrested or get notices from court or what will happen?
Please suggest how to proceed further on this
