Legal Question in Family Law in India
I am a IT professional and my parents and family members arranged my marriage and while i was on holiday on 10 days i was forced into getting engaged to the girl and get married in a temple as per Hindu Ceremony.I told the girl that i cannot treat her as my wife and without even touching her i left India.I am holding a foreign passport and in the last 2 years i never met her but she is adamant that if she will live then she will only live with me or she will punish me and want a huge amount of money from me.
I would like to know at the maximum what she can do as i am not a Indian citizen and what is the validity of Indian matrimonial cases Internationally when the marriage is not registered.

Your parents are they in India?? if yes she can file a case of domestic violence or a dowry harrassment case against the family. It would be better if you negotiated with her and settled the issue .and even though you may have a foreign nationality you are still bound by the Hindu marriage act.For further query call me at 9312411481
