Legal Question in Family Law in Pakistan
I have one question. court dissolved our marriage on the basis of khula (my wife filed khula) in 2013. khula was decreed in lieu of dower but the dower is not paid yet by my wife.its been 5 years approximately. both of us have taken divorce certificates. i heard that talak certificate can not be issued untill she return the dower amount and she can not remarry? is that true? if yes, how can i file suit to recover dower amount and further if she got married already what will happend? union coucil already issued her divorce certificate.

You can file the case in the family court which decreed the suit. And you right. She will must pay the amount.
How much was dower amount? You can recover it through civil suit or by execution of decree.. Talak certificate is issued easily.. [email protected]
