Legal Question in Family Law in India

The question is about our grand buwa who recently died she was a widow and didnt have any child .she use to stay alone with no touch with her inlaws from last 65 years

now we here are 2 families one is ours means my father in law and other our cousin kaka

altough our grand buwa was very close to kaka's family do we can also ask for share in her property cum belongings

The pedigree is not clear. please write the name of patriarch, exact relation and how did bua acquire the properties.
