Legal Question in Family Law in India

I have recently got married as per Tamil Nadu Marriage Act, 2009. As I and my wife belong to Kerala, and as we are from different religious communities, we would like to register our marriage again in Kerala, as per Special Marriage Act, 1954. Is there any legal complication for doing so? Will our second marriage be legally valid?
