Legal Question in Family Law in India

I was in relationship with a girl for the past 3 years, we had physical relation as well. We even got married (informal) in the temple as she was thinking that I�m in dilemma reg her. After this, she started moving away from me. Now she says she doesn�t want me. I�m totally devastated. I want to know whether I can file a case, as I heard that premarital physical relation is equivalent to legal wedding. Please help me. i want justice as she has cheated me and gave me a lot of mental trauma

you cannot formulate a relationship on the basis of the physical relationship you had. There is no law in your favour. However if you have got married to her in a temple and there are witnessess who were a party to the marriage or if there is a wedding certificate issued by the temple then you can file a case of restitution of conjugal rights.
