Legal Question in Family Law in India
Respected sir/ madam.
Thanks a lot for your kind reply to my earlier query w.r.t marital problems.
I have one more question.
I informed you that this is my husband's second marriage, mine first what if I need to present any proof of his 1st divorce in any legal case in future?
He always keeps his folder of all the documents ( right from school to his office appraisal certificates) in his mom's custody.in her cupboard.. to which I do not have any access.
He got very angry..and almost pushed me away as I casually asked him once to let me arrange the papers systematically in my free time at home.
Later he told me that it carries all the divorce papers etc..and wont like me to touch.
Out of complete faith, me or my father never asked any copy of the same to keep with us as a safty measure before marriage.
Although I submitted his divorce decree copy alongwith other documents at the ward office when I went to fulfill marriage registration formality.
Can the same office give me that copy to take a xerox?
How to go about it, plz. guide.
Thanks n regards,
Mrs. Roja.

Yes, the Ward office can officially provide you with a copy of all supporting documents to your marriage registration application.
