remarriage may give a reason to the other party to seek custody of your daughter. is your ex wife remarried or not.
The courts decide custody issues on the basis of several factors, including age of the child, wishes of the child, previous orders, etc. etc. The paramount consideration for the court is "welfare of the child". If you can persuade the court to reach a conclusion that your remarriage will not be harmful for the child in any manner; and rather it may possibly be helpful for raising the child, you may not loose custody. In case of a "female" child, presence of another female in the house may be rather helpful. You need to talk to your prospective wife and introduce her your daughter. If they both can gel with each other well, this may be a positive factor. Remarriage itself is not a negative factor and court is not likely to deprive you of custody merely for this reason independent of other factors.
My coleagues guide you well. Further it is better if you first get custody. Coz opposite party may level any allegation, even though your daughter and your future wife are well friends.
Rest your expert lawyer can handle this factor or not, you have to consult him.
Good Luck
