Legal Question in Family Law in India

Respected Sir,

This is regarding my sister's case. The FIR against her in laws (staying in Agra) was registered in Mathura-U.P (Women Cell) on 14-06-2016 because my permanent residence is there (Parents staying in mathura). The Investigation Officer (IO) is appointed in Mathura.

The mediation process got failed in women cell (Mahila Thana) and consultation center (Court) in Mathura.

My sister is staying with me in Faridabad (Haryana) and I want to ask whether the cases like Maintenance, Domestic Violence, Divorce etc can be filled in Faridabad and investigation processing is going on in mathura.
