Legal Question in Family Law in India

Sir, What is difference between GIFT DEED & ADOPTION DEED. one member of my family is adopted by other family but, instead of executing ADOPTION DEED they have executed GIFT DEED. As a result that member of my family wants to take advantage of this and claming our property also on the plea that other end property is gift to him.

Can he claim our property ?

they have filed case in court and lawyers are not sure about the law....

Sir I shall be very thankful if you please guide me in the matter

gift deed and adoption are different and connotes different rights. if the gift deed is executed and the donor is no more, the donee can claim the gift.
