i am thankful to law guru for helping me in getting my divorce.now i am single working lady in a PSU and want to ADOPT A BABY GIRL .i want to adopt daughter of a known poor family from chattisgarh.i work at bhilai steel plant but currently posted at kolkata. what are the legal procedures so that the child becomes my legal heir and her future is secured and also i can nominate her as my nominee for everything from property,cpf,gratuity etc.she also enjoys education & medical facilities extended by my company to the children. pl help.

you may adopt the child through CARA or the District Judge of your area.

The legal procedure will depend if the child is being given in adoption by parents or by an organization.
If the child is living with parents who are willing to give in adoption, you may simply get the adoption deed registered.
