There have been problems to my daughter since her engagement/wedding in Nov 2012/April 2013 by her father in law and step mother of the boy. We have complained to local police in White field , Bangalore but the father in law being a local guy, has bribed the inspector and getting action delayed. Two days ago, he and his second wife were literally manhandling my daughter, abusing, beating her. When daughter phoned us, me, my wife and young son rushed to her house, and took my daughter to police station, whitefield, where we submitted an application. meantime, since my daughter fainted, had to be rushed to hospital. The police have guided the father in law also to obtain a false medical certificate and got ready to file an FIR against us alleging that we have beaten him. My daughter was admitted to hospital, underwent all check ups, treatment and we have submitted an Medicolegal Certificate as per rules. The police on the basis of an OPD injury. The step mother was making phone call in the police station in front of us to some one claiming that they have pocketed the police inspector of whitefield police station and they dont fear for anything. This is proved because the same inspector has not taken any action on our complaint given 3 months ago with the reason that he has to INVESTIGATE. Now, just to favour the father in law, he is filing our fir also NOW and filing FIR against us. There is no seriousness in police station on his abusing (all bad language), beating and even trying to molest her trying touch her body while beating her. While narrating the complaint also they have asked us not to use certain words, and not to write certain things which were very important for the complaint. They even threatened that we will be arrested on his complaint. Now they have included me, my wife, my young son, my daughter, my son in law in their fir just because he gave a complaint against us when we went there to rescue my daughter. We picked my daughter with in few seconds and rushed to police station/hospital.
The police have given among other common sections in both FIRs, 354 to father in law and step mother.
Kindly advise what to do now?

You are making a mistake. Take your daughter to your place and then lodge a FIR u/s 498A. All the accused have to come at your place. For Bangalore crisis, if any FIR is lodged against you, directly go for quash in High Court. At the same time, you can file a complaint in the court of Magistrate.
