Legal Question in Family Law in India
My sister got married 6 months before. Before fixing the marriage, we had put following qualities before the groom which we were looking for
1. He should be stable in a job or in some form of business
2. He should be a non-smoker, non-drinker(alcohol)
3. He should be a family oriented person
After marriage, we found that
1. He does not have a job. He says he lost his job. But, does not show any interest in finding a new job.
2. He drinks almost every second day. He smokes as well.
3. He spends most part of his day(almost 8-10 hours)with his friends, comes late night
When questioned, he does not give any positive answers.
My sister is frustrated, as her husband does not show any interest in improving the situation and asks her to spend the rest of her life in the similar way.
Now, my sister is thinking of ending this relationship. What all legal actions can be taken in this case? We want to know what all charges can be filed against the husband so that he gets punished for his wrong doings?
