Legal Question in Family Law in India

My sister is a widow. My brother in law bought some properties with his earnings, loans and funds from my sister. The properties were registered jointly in the names of my brother in law and sister. The loans taken for properties were also joint loans. In these circumstances does any one (including his mother) have any claim on the property as per Indian law. My sister and her family are practicing Hindus.
