Legal Question in Family Law in India
My son had issued legal notice for divorce on 17.01.2017 and filed divorce petition against his wife at Bandra family court, Mumbai on 06.04.2017. Thereafter, his wife filed maintenance petition at Kolkata and we also came to know that she had filed a fir at Kolkata on 17.03.2017 levelling all sorts of false allegations like demand for dowry,domestic violence, attempt to murder against all of our family members. She also leveled charge of unnatural sex against my son. We have applied for anticipatory bail in Kolkata High Court which will be heard shortly. My question is that under the given circumstances, can I approach a Court in Mumbai for investigation into complaint of blackmailing and extortion lodged against my estranged son's wife and her parents lodged with Mumbai Police on 03.04.2017, which was registered as Non cognizable Offence?

Firstly get the case transferred from kolkatta to Mumbai. Since FIR has also been registered so the matter will be duly investigated by the police. On same matter two FIRs can not be registered. In case of need you may consult with all details.
