Legal Question in Family Law in India

Myself and my spouse wish to go for a mutual divorce in India. Its been 9 months that I have been staying separately from my spouse.

1.Can we file the petition through a single lawyer?

2.Is the "staying separately for one year before filing" statement apply or can we right away file for divorce at this point?

3. We have a 5 year old male child. Who gets the custody of the child?

4. How soon can we get the final judgement and the legal papers? What is the maximum tenure that the judgement can take?

I wish genuine advice on this from lawyers. Please help.

Yes you can file divorce, about child

you both have to decide, who will kept the child.

It will take only 6 months but we may help you to get it earlier also.

Good luck.
