Legal Question in Family Law in South Africa

Type your question here...my husband and I want to divorce and he is threatening to take our child to live with him and his girlfriend because I am the reason we are getting a divorce, he use to cheat on me but then I cheated back and he got too angry and beats me up and he almost killed me bt I managed to run away when he was holding a knife wanting to kill me so I left him bt he keeps wanting me back and nw I am scared of him bt ever since the break up non of my relationships have succeeded because he managed to scare all my boyfriends away but he also have girlfriends. So nw he wants to take my babe away and start a new life with his new girlfriend and they are also threatening to change my baby's name him and the girlfriend friend. Please help I dnt know my rights and I don't knw what to do because we haven't file for a divorce.

If he has assaulted you it should be reported to the police. Then you need to talk to a lawyer or someone at a community legal centre to assist you
