My unmarried elder brother made me nominee of his asset -does anybody claim anything from me?

The nominee is a recipient on behalf of all other legal heirs. After the death of your brother, other legal heirs, if any, may claim their share from you.

If your brother wants you to be full owner of his assets after his death, to the exclusion of others, a registered will may be better option.
