Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am a victim of domestic violence. Since 1 year i am staying with my parents with my infant son. Since there are no efforts from my husband i am planning to file for dicorve, maintenance and also under dv act. But i first wish to exhaust the option of reconciliation.

1 how do i apply to a lok adalat?

2 do i need a lawyer?

3 will they send a notice to my husband?

What if he doesn't attend the court even after receiving of notice.

Kindly answer the above questions so that i can decide my plan of action.
