My wife wants me to leave alone my widowed mother and my brother and set up a nuclear family. Since I resisted this move, My wife and her family threatning me to file a false case 498A as a bargaining device, again me and my family
Even if i have not taken any dowry or demand any dowry. Just because my wife is not able to adjust to my home, To have more Freedom, To control my aged mother, When I find out her infedelity. or Blackmail me incase i divorce her, for her mistakes

1) If u diagnose her infidelity could be the cause of the problem, then on some pretext or the other take her to a senior qualified medical doctor which is curable. Her reflexes may be to surpass her own weakness, which would be taken care by an experienced doctor. The medical records will be an evidence against any future DV cases she may file as u apprehend.
2) Try to convince her or through family elders or experienced senior citizen friends for an amicable solution.
3) If all efforts are not fruitful, then preserve all recordings, evidences to prove ur versions based only on facts not creations. Not demanded nor taken dowry as u stated if correct and can be proved is another evidence in ur favour.
