Legal Question in Family Law in India

Me and my wife got married as per SMA 1954 in India. If after 5 years we get a citizenship of another country( Australia ). ( If a situation arises) Will the husband still be facing issues due to Indian laws like 498A/ DVC . Please note both are now Australian Citizens. Or Can the Husband since both are citizens of another country get help from Australian government and deal with the case as per Australian law.
