Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hello,

Me and my ex wife have taken mutual divorce. The order has been passed yesterday and I have received the order documents. We are yet to receive decree document.

My parents have selected a girl. Can I get engaged to her now, as the girls family don't want to wait longer.

And do I need to wait for the wedding?

As you already received the order of dissolution of marriage, you can apply for the certified copy of the decree as well. Getting engaged is no issue now. Get married after getting the decree.

Get the decree order certified copy which takes a couple of days.

Then u may proceed with second marriage
