Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am a working defence soldier. in apr 2013 I lost my younger brother in RTA. my brother's widow(age-25) left our home after 10 days of incident and never came back. they have taken their furniture and jwelery they gave in marriage. we had a panchayat and taken a written concent signed by 3 witness from each side and countersigned by atorny general stating all expences and compansation money will b divided equally. in Sep they got 12 laks from LIC & SBI but refused to give any money. then we filled a case to get money for parents in Oct. Now in Jan they r thretening to file dowary case against my parents and me. what is the legal rights she has? already case is in court, can she file another case against us. they r filling false complaint . please advice what should I do? can I fill any case saying all these complaints r false. is there any danger to my defence job?

Dear client,

You may verify the name of the benificiery that your brother has given in the policy, if the name of your btothers wife then you are wasting your time and money. I am sure that your brother has given his wife name and she got the cheque and cashed it. Your brothers wifes threat of dowry case is not going to materialize sincd it is very evident that you had filed a case against her in the month of octobet and the chain reaction is the new dowry case at this later stage. But you can file a motor accident claim fod getting compensation and your father and mother is entitldd for a share 1 each out of the compensation. Your career in the armed will not be affected because of this. Added to that avoid visiging your brothers wife and talking over phone.
