Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

my mothers grandfather had 3 sons and 6 daughters out of which one daughter mental disorder. He divided his land into 4 parts among himself and his sons.the share with him was 3 cents and one cent he gave to one the daughter and died. later his 3 sons decided to give the two cents of their father to their younger brother as he has taken care mentally retarded sister and done last rituals of the father himself.. out of there two died 50 years back and the younger one died in 2015.he told my mother that his brothers have given extra two cents of land to him ,and told her enjoy rights. now the children of eldest brother of my mother's father are claiming for share in the two cents which was given by their father to my mothers father. the partition of land was done verbal fifty years back and the same land was in posse ion with mothers father. I want legal opinion .the land is in passion for last 15years with my mother. this land is occupied land before independence and lather distributed among themselves who were staying their.
