I am Mrs.Anupama Salot .I stay at Borivali east - Mumbai - Maharastra . My mother has done gift deed of her flat ( Flat is at Borivali Mumbai ) to my name . I am married . We have paid stamp duty & registration fees .
Whether we need to pay any transfer fees to soceity ?
Whether sociery can ask transfer fees for share certificate ?

Dear Anupama,
As per the prevailing byelaws No. 68 (xiii) the General Body at its meeting is entitled to adopt a resolution on the nature and amount of transfer charges payable on the sale of a flat. Since a Gift from the mother to her daughter does not come within the ambit of sale, it should be exempt from transfer fees payable to the Society by members.
