Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India
I dont know which section does this question belong to, hence posting it in general civil litigation.
I was in a friend with benefits arrangements with a divorcee. I am unmarried. Both of us are Hindu. I had made it very clear that i will never marry her since the beginning, and neither i want a child, and she had given her consent for that. Both of us were living out of our hometowns. After this consent, we had unprotected intercourse. After that, i moved out of the city, and now live in different part of the country, whereas she is still living in the old city(which is not her hometown). 8 weeks have passed, and she hasnt informed me of any pregnancy yet. She has my new contact number, which is also my permanent contact number.
Now,my question is, in case she is lying and she has conceived, then can she take a legal action against me ? What are the laws that cover this aspect ? Someone suggested that if i remain in contact with her, and call her/receiver her calls, then it can be used against me - is that true ?
What should i do now to safeguard myself ? Request you to please advice on the same.

If she conceive your paternity will be proved and you would be liable to maintain at least the child. Remaining in contact may go against you since this will show that you were acquainted with the facts. She may file some criminal cases against you but there is no pre safeguard either. First try to find out whether she is pregnant or not.
