Help overstayed Costa Rica citizen in AZ obtain legal status
Costa Rica citizen, 48, educated, bilingual, unmarried, no kids, overstayed tourist B2 since 1993 in AZ, w/ clean records, never arrested. Is there any special/private law or program that can grant/help me to obtain legal status?

Interesting: you have remained in this country for 15 years and never tried to obtain legal status before? Hmmmmmm. One difficulty is that you have no qualifying relative who would suffer a hardship if you were deported -- unless your parents live in the U.S. and you are responsible for caring for them. I don't think that is in the cards. Do you have a girlfriend, a U.S. citizen with whom you contemplate marriage? No? Well, unless you have a relative who can petition for you as an immediate relative, you are going to have a tough time. Tell me: you are educated -- has any company ever offered you a position of employment? Tell me why you suddenly want to obtain your status? Hope to hear from you again.
