Legal Question in Intellectual Property in
sampling movie clips for presentations.
We are in the process of creating an in-house presentation and because it will not be made avalible to the public I was wondering if we needed permission to use a short clip from a movie without permission?

Not sure why we didn't receive this earlier but the reply is fairly simple
It sounds as if you are copying and since it is not under the exceptions for eg review or private study, you will require permission to avoid infringing the copyright in the films.
