I have been asked to refund the excess amount credited by company during of settlement 2 years back..what should I do u am helpless?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Why are you helpless ?

First, ask the Company in writing : 1. to provide you with full detailed working of your settlement and how they have arrived at their claim of excess credited to your A/c and why did the computation error arise ? 2. to explain why the Company is unable to recover the excess amount paid to you from the concerned employee(s) responsible for the computation error ?.

Based on the Company's reply to the above two questions, you may either reject or refund and return the excess amount you received back to the Company.
