Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Change in Notice Period
i work for a reputed Indian finance firm. At the time of joining the notice period signed was for 1 month. Now the company after 2 years of my service has changed the notice period to 3 months with immediate effect with e-mail notification.
Is it legal or within the labor laws norms to change the notice period without any prior circular with immediate effect.

Dear Sir / Madam,
As far as you are concerned the notice period of one month which is mentioned in your Appointment Letter will prevail. The Company's decision to revise the notice period to three months will be applicable to all new employees who join the Company on or after the date of the notification.
Regards,
