Legal Question in Employment Law in

My company Aricent wants me to pay 2 lakhs on my date of leaving as they say that I have broken a contract that says this,"Should you decide to leave the company before 2 years, the copmpany reserves the right to recover appropriate(Of which company shall be the sole judge) training cost for an amount of Rs. 2 Lacs from your FnF settlement."

I spent 16 months with them and am advising them to recover the appropriate amount i.e the training cost which they do not know as they did not quantify/calculate it. They are rigid on recovering 2 lacs and I need to get my releiving letter for the new employer. Please suggest what I should do. I have also served a notice of 2 months which my new employer was willing to buy but these people requested me to stay because of urgent business requirement. They are under no circumstances lessening the amount from 2lacs.

Dear Vishal,

Have you received a written notice for the said amount of Rs 2 Lakhs.?

If yes then you should reply there notice mentioning your griviences for the company.

A proper reply by a lawyer would be the best course of action.
