Legal Question in Employment Law in India

My Company says there is no law mandating a pro rata bonus payout; the policy that we're following has been validated with counsel as well.

I was sked to resign on Feb 18th 2016 and the bonus payout is for Oct'15 untiol Mar'16 and is denying me my bonus.

Dear Sir / Madam,

If the Company has announced and declared Bonus for any financial period preceding the date of your resignation, the Company remains liable to pay you the pro-rata bonus for the period October, 2015 till 18th February, 2016 or say till December, 2015 (if the Company has a policy of declaring quarterly bonus) is due and payable to you by the Company.
