Legal Question in Employment Law in India
My contract letter states that I need to serve 2 months notice period, or hand over 2 months notice pay while resigning. But I've fallen sick and have been advised by the doctor to take complete rest for which I'm unable to work. Now my company is objecting to relieve me. What should I do?

Dear Sir / Madam,
The Company is right. You will either have to serve two month's notice period or pay up and settle two month's notice pay (basic salary only) to the Company. You may produce a Doctor's Certificate to indicate the tentative date of your being certified fit for duty.
