Legal Question in Employment Law in India
As a Contractor, we want to pay compensation to our employee who got in an accident, but do not want joint liability with the Principle. Is it poosible?

Dear Sir / Madam,
If the terms and conditions of the contract stipulate that you are required to secure all the workmen you engage on the principal's site for any accident claims, the Principal is in no way involved nor liable for an accident to any of your workmen at the site. You remain solely liable to pay and settle the accident compensation to the workman, based on the extent of injury or disability.
