Legal Question in Employment Law in Pakistan

Dear Sir,

A confirmed regular employee of a commercial bank resigned from his services by his own will. According to his terms of employment, he was liable to serve notice period of 60 days but it was not possible for him which he mention in his resignation letter and just served 4 working days as NOTICE PERIOD. At date of last working day which was mention in resignation letter, and received by organization with the stamp "Received", he finished his work, turned off his system, handed over his employee card and insurance card to his manager, and left the premises. After 6 days, he received a call from his previous head office that you are absent from your job for last 6 days as reported by your manager, you didn't informed anyone to leave like this, your last day of employment was after 60 days from date which you resigned. you are require to rejoin us other wise we will not issue release letter. Employee agree to give two months salary as compensation of not serving notice period as per Market practice follow by almost all banks but head office is still insisting to join work again. Now recommend the procedure for the employee,

Regards
