Legal Question in Employment Law in India
I'm an IT developer and have been working in a company in India since 1.2 years. I was working as a consultant. The company is Canadian and officially does not exist in India.
I've a commitment till 31st December. Due to a financial crisis, the company wanted to cut my salary to less than half and gave me a choice to either continue to leave.
I decided to leave and the company decided to relieve me from 15th November. Now my employer wants me to complete the projects I was managing and is threatening to fine me if client rejects. Plus, he has held back my last month's fees.
Please guide me on how I should proceed and what can be my liabilities. I don't want any cuts in my income.

Dear Sir / Madam,
Estimate the total time you will need to complete the unfinished projects and ask your employer to remit the amount to you in advance if he wishes that you complete those projects.
Regards,
