Legal Question in Employment Law in Ghana
I am employed into a private company for the past three years. Technically, the company has become insolvent from the beginning of this year, thus i have not been paid for the past 6 months.
My Manager called me today and said he's laying me off and promised to pay me by the end of July, this year. I couldn't trust his verbal words so I asked him to put it on paper.
Is it enough to hold him on?

Dear Sir / Madam.,
No. I have serious doubts whether you are going to be paid your dues unless and until you immediately submit your resignation asking the Company to settle all your dues. You are merely wasting your valuable time in this job and it is advisable and recommended that you immediately fetch yourself another job.
Regards.
