Legal Question in Employment Law in India
I was an employee in an IT company in India.. At the time of joining they were asked me to sign a bond(either to stay there in atleast 2 and half year or to pay almost 2 lakh rupees)... So I did it and my father too as a surety... bt after 11 months I left the job due to so physical problems.. Now they are moving through court to get 2lakh from me... Is the bond is valid or legal?

Dear Sir / Madam,
Never ever work in a Company that insists on you signing an Employment Bond with them. Having signed the Bond, you have legally accepted it and hence you are bound to abide by it. However, an Employment Bond of any form or nature is illegal and an offence on the part of the employer since it tantamounts to bonded labour. You should reply to the Court notice on the above lines.
Regards,
