Legal Question in Employment Law in India
My employment application to PFC (Power Finance Corporation,Govt. of India Enterprise); was rejected since the final semester mark-sheet was not updated by the university and was showing awaited result in one subject.
The mark-sheet was dated 24 Sept 2104 whereas the PFC advertisement no 03/2014 mentions that computation of qualification will be done w.r.t Dec 15, 2014.
The only available mark-sheet on the date of applying was not updated by the university and showed awaited result, whereas the updated mark-sheet issued later on bears the date 22 Sept 2014.
I want to know -
1. Whether the PFC can reject my application without even calling me for interview and document verification.
2. Under which rule/guidelines can I appeal against their rejection.
3. Can I also appeal against the university for not declaring the complete result in time.
Thank you.

Dear Sir / Madam,
The Year 2104 as mentioned in your query is still 89 years away. If it reads as 2014, you are eligible for the job. But whether to call you for interview and document verification is entirely at the discretion of the prospective employer PFCL - Power Finance Corporation Limited. The guidelines / employment rules of the Corporation will prevail. You can certainly appeal against the University if they have mentioned the year as 2104 and file an RTI application requesting PFCL to provide you with the employment guidelines and rules.
Regards,
