Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I filled an application in university few months back. In advertisement univ conditions for the post are -

Essential:

1. Good Academic record plus Master�s Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale.

2. The appointments/promotions to be made according to these qualifications against internal quota posts will be subject to rules of relaxation as may be in vogue at any point of time.

3. There shall be no relaxation in qualifications for internal candidates competing against open post.

4. The relaxation of age upto 5 years shall be allowed to all the candidates who have 5 years or more experience as superintendent or an equivalent post irrespective of the fact whether the candidates are internal or external.

5. Bachelor Degree in any discipline shall be considered as lower examination for determining the �Criteria of Good Academic Record

6. Hindi/sanskrit upto Matric

Desirable:

The candidates should have adequate knowledge of Computer, like, MS Office, Excel, Internet, etc.

NOW THE APPLICATION DATE IS OVER 3-4 MONTHS BACK. IN DEC2016 UNIV GAVE NOTICE FOR WRITTEN TEST SCHEDULED on 29 JAN2017. i got admit card on 10 JAN

now another notice for selection criteria is posted on website which states a NEW CONDITION- of Experience of post of superintendent/ section officer.

Selection Criteria shall be based on following Weightage Points:

i. Matriculation: 5%

ii. 10+2: 5%

iii. Graduation: 15%

iv. Post Graduation: 25%

v. Relevant Experience as Superintendent/Section Officer in a

recognized University: 18 Marks (two mark for one year

experience)

vi. Professional Skill/Computer Proficiency Test: 20 %

vii. Interview: 12 Marks

Note: Candidate with relevant experience in State/Central University shall

be preferred.

MY PROBLEM IS POINT NO 5

when there is no mention of this in advertisement, can univ make this change when last dates are over and written exam is about to held. isn't this against any service rule.

from insiders, came to know that this condition was introduced to adjust a relative of VC, making all other candidates not eligible for post even when they clear the written exam.

plz help me in this matter. its a matter of my life as it depends on this job. i am preparing for this exam from a long time and this last time condition shatters all my dreams. i am very disappointed. plz help

Dear Madam / Sir,

Urban Grants Commission (UGC) rules for test and selection of Lecturers / Professors are open to change at short notice, especially if it be specifically mentioned in the advertisement or UGC circular or notification. I do not consider it to be the end of the road for you since, just in case you do not possess experience of Superintendent / Section Officer, you lose a maximum of 18 marks or 18% out of 100. You are able to still eligible to score a percentage of 82% and get selected. I suggest you appear for the exams with an open mind without worrying of the results.
