Legal Question in Employment Law in United Arab Emirates

I got fired from a restaurant . I went to see the general manager to finalize . But he said he might have another position within the company available . I said ill think about it and he said he will think about it . But i got a letter that said i am starting 1may and ill be chack on . Its almost like i have no choice it also says if im not good at it ill go back at my own cost which i refuse to sign . Can they keep me here and refuse to pay for my flight back if i dont sign for the other job ?

Dear Sir . Madam,

Today is Mahrashtra Day !

By UAE Labour Laws, it remains the responsibility of the employer to pay for the return ticket to home country and place or residence of each and every employee on his . her employment visa. You are right in refusing to sing the contract since it wrongly states that you are to pay for your air ticket back home. You can lodge your grievance to the Ministry of Laour, UAE for redressal.
